Influential midfielder back for Posh clash
Anthony Grant has now served his two match suspension and the 27-year-old midfielder looks likely to return to the starting line-up, especially if the injured Jamie Ness and Chris Atkinson are ruled out of tomorrow’s trip to Peterborough United.
Grant has missed the club’s last two games against Chesterfield and Leyton Orient after picking up his tenth booking of the season against Crawley Town on Good Friday.
Ahead of tomorrow night’s encounter at Peterborough, Steve Davis told us: “Anthony has served his two game suspension and had that break. It hasn’t been helpful to the group that he has missed a couple of games.
“He is a combative player and we don’t want to take that from his game, because it is a big part of how he plays. He is going to pick up bookings and he received his tenth on the eve of the deadline but hopefully he can come into it.
“Ant is one of our most experienced players and he will have an important part to play in the remaining four games for us. I know that he will give everything he has got.”
