Garratt Returns To Training

21 April 2015

Ben Garratt could be line for a return at Coventry this weekend.

Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Ben Garratt has made a successful return to training and could be named in the squad for this weekend’s important trip to Coventry City. Garratt has been out of first team action after suffering a fracture in his leg away at Barnsley back in February.

The Club had thankfully bought in back up goalkeeper Paul Rachubka just 24 hours before that trip to Oakwell.

Garratt has worked hard to get back before the end of the season and that could be rewarded with an inclusion on the bench at Coventry.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ben has been back in training this week with Fred (Barber, goalkeeping coach) and he will train with the group again on Thursday.

“He seems fine and if he gets through the week then he could be involved this weekend at Coventry.

He added: “Ben could be in the squad and on the bench as back up if needed. It would be better to have Ben there if needed than having to put an outfield player in goal if there is an injury or a red card.”
