23 April 2015

Crewe Alexandra to take five Academy youngsters from the successful Youth team

Crewe Alexandra is delighted to announce that the following Academy graduates have been offered professional terms with the club. The second year scholars will become a part of Steve Davis’ first-team squad for next season if they accept terms.

The five players, Andre Brown, Joe Howell, Joe Kearns, Toby Mullarkey and Liam O’Neill helped Crewe Alexandra reach the quarter-final stage of the FA Youth Cup last season before they were defeated by Manchester City. They also formed the basis of Alex Morris’ Under-18 squad and many featured for the U-21 Development squads at various times of the season.

Crewe Alexandra would like to congratulate our Academy boys on progressing through to the professional ranks and we wish them every success in their future.

Four youngsters have unfortunately been released by the club. We would like to thank Liam Matthews, Michael Pino, Jon Moran and Chris Speed for their service to the club and we wish them every success in their futures.
