Crewe Alexandra boss pleased with sea of red in away end at Coventry

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is thrilled that it appears close to 1,000 Crewe fans will be travelling to the Ricoh Arena tomorrow. With Coventry reducing their ticket prices for the match there is sure to be a bumper crowd as both teams set out to get the points they will need to try and remain in League One.

Crewe fans can still pay on the day at the Ricoh Arena after the last our original allocation was sold this morning. Fans can purchase their tickets at turnstiles 4 and 5 at the Stadium tomorrow.

Davis is encouraging the Alex fans to wear their club colours with pride in the away section of the ground and inspire us to another victory at arguably the most impressive stadium in League One.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash at the bottom of League One, Steve said: “With Coventry reducing their ticket prices it should be a big crowd and everyone is looking forward to it.

“I have been told that we are going to have a really good following as well and our supporters can make a massive difference to us. We will be going there in a positive frame of mind and it is up to us to produce a performance for those travelling.

“There will be more home supporters than usual and if we can take 1,000 plus then it should be a great atmosphere.

“It is still in our own hands after the two results in mid-week. We are back in control of things and it is up to us to finish the job off.”
