Boss Says Two Wins Should Do It

14 April 2015

It remains tight at the bottom of League One but Steve says six points should be enough

Steve Davis believes that two wins from our remaining four games of the season will be enough to remain in League One. Crewe Alexandra travel to Peterborough United this evening aiming to emulate their recent success at Bramall Lane. A 2-1 win over Sheffield United propelled them out of the bottom four.

Ahead of the trip to the Abax Stadium, the Alex boss told the club’s official web-site: “We still need two wins from the remaining four games but our target is still to win them all. We are aiming high and always go out there trying to win.

“We need to be better creativity because we haven’t created as many chances as I would have liked. We have approached things with a really positive attitude but we need to be better in the final third. Our goal on Saturday was a great move but we didn’t produce that level of quality again.

The boss added: “We set ourselves goals and it is not a question of waiting for it to happen. We have got to make it happen. It will change with every game because it so tight at the bottom of the league. It is nail biting stuff but we have the players here to deal with it.”
