Midfielder out with shoulder injury
Chris Atkinson will miss the remaining two game of the season after dislocating his shoulder in the opening minutes of our 1-1 draw with Walsall on Saturday. The combative midfielder was stretched off after Romaine Sawyers landed on him following a tackle close to the touchline.
The former Huddersfield and Chesterfield player was immediately transferred to Crewe’s Leighton Hospital.
Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Chris put his shoulder out. I think their player has landed on it after he put the tackle in.
“It is a sore one and he won’t play again this season. We have picked up a few injures recently and that doesn’t help us but it is something we have to get on with.”
