17 September 2014

Collins' troops back to winning ways at Reaseheath

Crewe Alexandra Under 21's recorded their first victory since the opening game of the season with a 3-1 triumph over Huddersfield at the Alex training ground.

The Railwaymen struck two quickfire goals inside the first ten minutes, George Cooper continuing his fine U21 goal scoring form with the first before the trialist added moments later.

Jordon Sinnott pulled one back for the Terriers just after the half an hour mark, but Callum Saunders struck on 37 minutes to end the scoring as the Alex went on to record victory.

Collins' side won at home to Brentford 4-2 on the opening day, before back-to-back defeats away at Bristol City and then at Gresty Road to Colchester. This success gives the youngsters a record of won two lost two so far in this 2014/15 campaign.

Crewe Alex: Scott Shearer, James Baille, Perry Ng, Toby Mullarkey, Greg Leigh, Jamie Ness, Chris Atkinson, James Jones, George Cooper, Trialist, Callum Saunders
