Boss unhappy with Haber's latest call-up
October because of his latest International call-up with Canada.thCrewe boss Steve Davis is unhappy that he could be left without his forward Marcus Haber for the visit of Coventry City on 11
Haber has settled in well to life at Crewe Alexandra following his summer move from Stevenage, scoring three goals for League One’s bottom side. Although Davis is always pleased for his players to receive International recognition, he has not been amused with Haber travelling to represent his country only to be left on the substitutes’ bench.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It is not an ideal situation with Marcus and I have already spoken to him about it. We have talked about him establishing himself at club level and putting that first.
“Of course he wants to represent his country but I just question the fact that he travelling over there for a period of time, he misses another game for us and doesn’t play for them. It is a long way to go to play in a friendly and we have had a conversation about it.
“I’m sure Marcus will have a conservation with the national manager about moving forward with it.”
