Davis Hopeful Of Brandy Return

23 September 2014

Steve Davis hopeful to have loan winger available this weekend after calf injury.

Steve Davis is hoping to have loan signing Febian Brandy available for the weekend game against Colchester United after the Rotherham winger suffered a problem with one of his calves. Brandy received a knock in training on Friday and it seemed to affect his calf in the game against the MK Dons.

Although the winger did inject some life into our attack when replacing Billy Waters at Stadium:mk boss Steve Davis says he was restricted in his movement.

The former England youth international has been receiving treatment from the club’s head physio Rob Sharp in the hope that he will be able to resume training this week and be in contention for the weekend.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Febian has been in the treatment room and we haven’t been able to get him out there and work with him. He got a knock on Friday and it seems to have impacted in his calf.

“Rob (Sharp) says it is to do nerve pain in the muscle and we are hoping he will be able to train later this week and be available for Saturday.

“He was struggling with it in the game at the MK Dons. It had settled down enough for him to be involved and although he did some good things when he came on, it was obvious that he was impeded by it. He couldn’t really push off and use his pace.”
