Crewe's new loan signing says he is here to help Crewe move away from the bottom
Crewe Alexandra’s new loan signing Febian Brandy is hoping that he can help the club move away from the bottom of League One during his spell with us. Brandy, 25, is hoping he can acquire some competitive action after being limited to just one substitute appearance for his parent club Rotherham United this season.
Brandy was all set to appear again for Rotherham’s reserves against Hull City last night, but was hastily withdrawn after Crewe boss Steve Davis stepped up his interest.
The former Manchester United youngster is now hoping to make his debut for the club at the MK Dons on Saturday, but appreciates that he has convince Davis that is worth a place in his squad following our four points in a week.
Febian exclusively told Crewe Alex Player: “I was happy to come to Crewe and play some games because they are a good team who like to play good football. They get the ball down and play the ball on the floor and that should suit my style.
“I like to create chances in the final third of the pitch and cause defenders problems with my runs.
“Crewe shouldn’t be where they are in the league at the moment and hopefully I can help them get some more points and push them up the league a bit.
“The loan move happened really quickly. I was preparing for a reserve game at Rotherham when the assistant manager there rang me to tell me I was going to Crewe on loan. I was more than happy and get an opportunity to play first-team games.
“I don’t expect to go straight into the team. I know there are some talented players at Crewe and I will have to knuckle down and work hard to be starting games.
Febian added: “I want to get in on merit by working hard and let the manager choose. I know I am fighting for a place here and I cannot wait to get going at the MK Dons on Saturday if I get my chance.”
