Boss To Check On International Trio

12 September 2014

Steve Davis confident that International trio will be fit and ready for Vale encounter

Steve Davis will assess the condition of his three International players before he decides on his starting line-up for tomorrow’s visit of Port Vale. The Railwaymen have welcomed back from George Ray, Liam Nolan and Marcus Haber from International duty with their respective countries and although only Ray featured in one of the fixtures for the Wales Under-21 side, he will continue to monitor their condition after travelling and training.

The Crewe Alexandra boss told crewealex.net: “The three lads have come back and we will assess them again today. Liam was only away for a few days with Ireland. George and Marcus have been away for a lot longer.

“George was in yesterday and was a bit tired, so he had a rest day and Marcus has only come in this morning so he is the one we will have to keep an eye on today.

“Marcus didn’t play but he has had to travel to Toronto and train over there. With the time patterns and the travelling it can take it out of you, so we will have to watch it closely.”
