Ray, Nolan & Haber fresh for Vale after unused sub international calls

Crewe Alexandra look set to have their international starts back in tip-top shape after George Ray, Liam Nolan and Marcus Haber were all unused substitutes in their respective internationals on Tuesday night.

Ray was rested for Wales U21's final Euro 2015 qualifer in Lithuania after the draw in Finland meant they could no longer progress to the tournament. Without Ray in the side, a 90th minute Lee Evans strike rescuing a 1-1 draw for the Welsh.

Haber's Canada ended a 16-game-winless streak in Toronto with a 3-1 friendly victory over Jamaica, Birmingham City's David Edgar scoring the pick of the goals for the Maples Leafs, whilst Marcus had to settle for a watching brief from the bench.

It wasn't such happy news for Liam Nolan, who watched from the bench as the Northern Ireland U21 side were brushed aside 4-1 by Serbia U21's in a friendly at Shamrock Park.

All three players will return to Crewe Alexandra tomorrow (Thursday) in time for Saturday's fixture with Port Vale.
