Swansea City defender links-up for short stintCrewe Alexandra have signed Swansea defender Alan Tate on an emergency 93-day loan deal.
The 32-year-old will link up with Steve Davis and the squad tomorrow and will be available to face Colchester on Saturday.
Tate joined the Swans in 2004 and has made a staggering 340 appearances for the club, spanning right through their rise from League Two all the way up to, and including, the Premier League.
In recent seasons, Tate has found first team opportunities at the Liberty Stadium hard to come by and has enjoyed Championship loan spells at both Leeds United in 2012/13 and at Yeovil early last season before spending the tail end of the campaign north of the border with Aberdeen.
The Swans legend is held in high regard and will certainly be looking to stamp his authority in League One at the Alexandra Stadium.
Alan will wear the number 30 shirt during his time at Crewe.
