Steve On Bradford Test

Steve Davis says Alex can cause Bradford upset

Crewe Alexandra will be hoping that their recent decent form against Bradford City can continue this weekend at Valley Parade.

The Railwaymen will be looking to halt a run of three successive defeats with a positive result against Phil Parkinson’s side and although Steve Davis appreciates that a trip to the Coral Windows Stadium is tough, he remains confident that if his players can play to their potential there is no reason why we cannot get a result.

Steve told crewealex.net: “We have been preparing for Bradford and we have had a decent record against them since I took over. Of course that doesn’t count for too much but we have players here who have faced them before and played at their Stadium.

“We had a screaming match with them last season and it ended 3-3. Uche (Ikpeazu) scored a couple of goals and we bashed them about it with the front players we had.

He added: “We will have to play differently now because we don’t have those players, but we have done well against them and there is no reason why we can’t do again if we play close to our potential.”
