Young Midfielder sidelined with ankle injury

Crewe Alexandra midfielder Liam Nolan is set to be out of six weeks after sustaining an ankle ligament injury in last week's U21 defeat at Swansea City.

Nolan was forced off during the game with the injury and medical examinations have revealed the severity of the ankle problem.

The Northern Irish U21 midfield man could be missing until December, missing out on at least seven games including the first round of the FA Cup.
