No Chances To Be Taken With Inman

30 October 2014

Steve Davis says Inman remains under doctors orders after suffering head injury last weekend

Crewe Alexandra will not be taking chances over Brad Inman after he suffered a head and neck injury against Sheffield United last weekend. After a lengthy and necessary delay, Inman was placed in neck brace and was stretched off against the Blades and had to be replaced by Billy Waters.

He was immediately transferred to Leighton Hospital for a scan and was given the all clear by the Doctors. He has been further assessed by the club doctor and medical staff this week and if he is not 100% right, will not travel to Crawley. Inman has not trained since the incident, but boss Steve Davis is hopeful that the former Newcastle trainee will declare himself fit for selection.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We have continuously monitored Brad this week. He has had a couple of headaches earlier in the week and he hasn’t train since the incident. We certainly won’t be taking any chances with him.

The boss added: “He is under Doctors orders and he will make the final decision on him. The doctor will decide if he is right enough to travel in readiness for the weekend. If he doesn’t travel to Crawley this week then I am sure he will be fine for next week.”
