Harry Davis to step up his return with outing in Cheshire Senior Cup tonight
Crewe Alexandra defender Harry Davis is expected to make his second appearance of the season this evening in the club’s first round tie in the Cheshire Senior Cup. The Railwaymen face Witton Albion at Gresty Road tonight with a 7.45pm kick-off and Crewe are expected to name a strong side which is likely to include Davis, Scott Shearer, Brad Inman, Callum Saunders and Thierry Audel. It will be another chance for the club’s fringe contingent to impress watching boss Steve Davis.
Harry Davis made his first appearance against Ipswich last week in an Elite Development League match, completing 50 minutes before he was forced off with a bloody nose. It was the centre-half’s first outing since being ruled out last March with a knee injury.
Davis is again expected to start the game this evening and is aiming to complete an hour as he steps up his match fitness after nearly seven months out of action.
