Tate Back In Swansea For Treatment

4 November 2014

Alan Tate progressing after slight groin strain but won't be fit for Sheffield United meeting

On-loan defender Alan Tate is undergoing treatment at his parent club Swansea City and won’t be fit for this weekend’s FA Cup tie against Sheffield United. Tate has a slight groin strain and has returned to the Premier League club to undergo treatment. It is expected that the 32-year-old will be back in contention for our home game against Chesterfield on 15th November.

Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Alan has returned to Swansea for treatment. He is progressing well from his groin strain but he is still aware of it.

“We are hopeful that he is only a week or so away. It is nothing too serious and it has settled down well.

“Alan has not returned home since he came up here, so it has been nice for him to go home for a few days as well and see his family. “
