Boss on trialist Lauri Dalla Valle

The former Liverpool, Fulham and Inter Milan forward Lauri Dalla Valle is aiming to impress on trial after being invited over by Crewe Alexandra’s coaching staff. The 23-year-old Finn has trained with the Crewe first team over the last few days and it is hoped that he will feature in some Development matches for the club.

Dalla Valle became a firm favourite with the Alex faithful after scoring five goals in ten games whilst on loan from Fulham back in the 2012-13 season.

Alex boss Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site of his joy in working with the ultra-professional Dalla Valle.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Lauri has been in Belgium and then Italy but he couldn’t sign a contract over there. He has been training there and playing in behind closed doors games.

“Once that opportunity in Italy didn’t materialise, he thought about Crewe. He really enjoyed his time here and we invited him over to see how he is.

“He is a 100% type of player. He gives his all and occupies centre-halves and he scored goals for us. He is still only 23 and his fitness levels are high. He is a dedicated professional and has looked really sharp in training so far.

The boss added: “He has a lot to offer and we will have a look at him in a couple of games. He is unattached at the moment and out of contract so it would be straight forward.”
