Dialogue This Week Over Strikers

17 November 2014

Boss to decide on on-loan strikers later this week

Steve Davis says that dialogue will begin this week in relation to extending the loan deals of strikers Danny Haynes and Febian Brandy. The players have not been given permission to play in the FA Cup by their parent clubs at Sheffield United tomorrow evening but they are still available for this weekend’s trip to Leyton Orient.

Their current loan agreements expire after the trip to the capital and boss Steve Davis says he will have to know whether their respective clubs are willing to extend those deals further before he decides what to do.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Danny and Feb can’t play tomorrow night but they can at the weekend.

“I will have to open dialogue with their respective clubs and their respective managers because like with every loan player they don’t belong to us.

“We still have our own young players and if we are not allowed to keep them or want to look at something else then we have that option. I need to have the conversation with their clubs first before we take things forward.”
