Former Fulham man back after loan stint in 2012

Crewe Alexandra have taken Finnish striker Lauri Dalla Valle on trial after his contract with Belgian side St Truidense expired in the summer.

The 23-year-old striker enjoyed a short loan spell at Gresty Road in the 2012/13 campaign where he scored five goals in ten games before returning to parent club Fulham.

He was released by the Cottagers during that season and joined Norwegian heavyweights Molde but played only five months at the club before moving to Belgium in summer 2013.

Dalla Valle made 23 appearances for Truidense last season but was not offered a new contract in the summer and has since been a free agent.

The striker is set to play in Monday's Under 21's match at Coventry City before Steve Davis makes a decision on his future.
