Midfielder to miss Chesterfield clash after Scotland Under-19 call-up

Crewe Alexandra will be without young midfielder James Jones for this weekend’s home game against Chesterfield following his latest call-up to the Scotland Under-19 squad. Jones will be hoping to face a strong Dutch side on Friday evening in Falkirk.

Jones, 18, certainly caught the eye with his performance as a second half substitute against Sheffield United at the weekend, thus pushing him closer to a senior debut for the club.

The club’s leading scorer will be looking to make an appearance for his country after he featured against Colombia last month.

The match will be taking place in Panama City and means that Haber will miss next weekend’s League One clash with Chesterfield and Tuesday night’s FA Cup replay against Sheffield United.

Jones will be back and available for the trip to Bramall Lane on the Tuesday night.
