Young defender first of the second year scholars to sign professional terms
Crewe Alexandra Football Club is delighted to announce that Perry Ng has become the first of our second year scholars to sign professional terms. The Liverpool-born defender has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third year.
Ng, 17, can operate as a central defender but has also been used effectively as a full-back for the club’s Youth and Development teams this season.
The young defender was part of the Crewe Alexandra Under-21 side who impressively won the Professional Development League Two trophy following a 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
Ng also helped the club’s Under-18s to reach the final of their own Cup competition, scoring a superb goal in the semi-final against Charlton Athletic.
Ng is one of six scholars who has been offered professional terms. The others being James Jones, Callum Saunders, Fraser Murdoch, James Ballie and Callum Pritchard-Ellis.
