Assistant manager Neil Baker hoping forwards will extend stay with us
Neil Baker is hopeful that our former Academy graduates Byron Moore and Max Clayton will re-sign for the club this summer. Crewe Alexandra have made substantial offers to both young players and they have gone away to mull things over.
Baker is hoping that they will decide to continue their education here with us.
The club’s assistant manager said: “We have made offers to Max and Byron. We are just awaiting a response from both of them.
“We have made it known for a while that they are players we would love to keep. They have come through the Academy and been here for a long time. We just want them to keep on improving and they can do that here with us.
“We want to keep them both here. We are a better team with Max and Byron here than not and we will do everything we can to try and persuade them to stay.”
