Matt Tootle's double delight at presentation night

Matt Tootle was the worthy winner of the club's Player-of-the-Season award and the Players' Player Of The Year award at last night's presentation night. Tootle won the two main awards, as voted by the club's supporters and his fellow team-mates.

On winning his double award, the club captain told "I am overwhelmed by winning both awards. To be voted player of the year by my fellow team-mates is unbelievable for me and then to win the supporters vote as well is something I will never forget. I said last year that the player of the year award is something I wanted to win, so it is an ambition I have accomplished.

"It was a tough season but we came through in the end. The fans helped us get over the line and now we have to push on and go again. We need to start a lot better than we did last season. No messing about this time and making it hard for ourselves. It has been an honour to have captained the club when Abdul wasn't playing. Everyone knows I have a strong affection for this club and we fought hard as a club to remain in League One."
