Our thanks go to the supporters of Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale, who played out a friendly encounter on Saturday. The two sets of players held a one-minute’s applause and wore balck armbands in memory of Pete.

The Motley Crewe matched Crewe Alexandra's score line by beating them 3-1. Goals come from Warren Scoffin, Phil Lane and Andy Pye.
