Inman Looking For Reaction

27 March 2014

Winger says players determined to get back on track against Coventry

Alex wide man Brad Inman says that the dressing room is remaining calm and focussed despite suffering a 3-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Notts County on Tuesday night.

Not for the first time this season, the Railwaymen were unable to follow up a good result and performance at Gillingham with another against Shaun Derry’s Magpies at the Alexandra Stadium. That has been the story of our season with Crewe only achieving back-to-back wins twice this season in October and over the New Year period.

Inman is hoping that a settled front four including Pogba, Aneke and Ikpeazu could see Crewe acquire enough points to escape the drop into League Two.

Brad told Crewe Alex Player: “Everyone was pretty happy after the Gills game but then we couldn’t follow it up again. We have done that too many times this season and it is hard to explain.

“With the games running out, we can only worry about ourselves. If we can win the games we will need to then surely we'll be away from relegation.

“We just have to focus on what we need to do as it’s in our own hands. We have to keep calm and play our natural game.

Inman is hoping to play a key role in what has been an exciting front four away at Bradford and Gillingham this season.

The former Newcastle youngster said: “With that front four, we have scored three goals at Bradford and Gillingham so hopefully, if it is the same team, I guarantee there'll be goals before the end of the season.”
