Davis Ruled Out For Season

21 March 2014

Harry Davis out for final nine games due to serious knee injury

Crewe Alexandra defender Harry Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury in training yesterday. The 22-year-old dislocated part of his knee in yesterday’s session and was immediately sent for a scan.

The knee remains incredibly swollen, so the full extent of the damage or a time on a possible return to action cannot be accurately determined.

Davis has been one of Crewe’s most consistent performers this season, scoring four goals in his 36 appearances this term. His stoppage time header salvaged an unlikely point in the club’s 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic last weekend.

Adam Dugdale is set to come into the Crewe Alexandra side for the trip to Gillingham, although George Ray has recently returned from injury to feature for the club’s development side.
