Defender Hary Davis hoping to come through today's final training session
Crewe Alexandra will check on the fitness of Harry Davis before naming their side to face Oldham Athletic on Saturday. The centre-half took a whack on his ankle during the 1-1 draw with Walsall and has not been able to train since, but the 22-year-old will attempt to take part in today’s final session. Adam Dugdale and George Ray remain on stand-by if Davis doesn’t make it.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Harry got a whack on his ankle against Walsall and has been unable to train over the last few days. He will train today and see how he does. We are hopeful that he will come through.
“If he doesn’t then Duggy and George are both fit and one of them will come in.”
Captain Abdul Osman has come through training over the last few days after recently returning from his foot injury. Tuesday night’s trip to Walsall was a little too soon, but Osman is now fit and available for selection for the visit of Oldham.
The boss told crewealex.net: “Abdul is fine now. Tuesday was a bit soon for him but it is important to have his experience back with us.”
