Waters strike earns the Alex a draw

Crewe Alexandra’s U21 side suffered a blow to their hopes of reaching the end-of-season Play-Offs after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Coventry City this afternoon.

A late Billy Waters strike rescued a point for the Alex who would have been looking for all three points as they hunt a place in the top two of the Professional Development League Two North.

The likes of Uche Ikpeazu, Abdul Osman, Adam Dugdale, George Ray, Ollie Turton and Ajay Leitch-Smith all got game time for the Alex.
