Steve Davis says lessons learnt after tough campaign
Steve Davis admits that he is not a manager who tends to look back over things but he did spend some of his recent holiday taking notes on how he can improve things going into the 2014/15 season.
Steve has said that he is assessing ways in which everyone can work in a smarter way to improve on last season’s poor start to the campaign. Crewe Alexandra finished strongly to avoid the drop on the final day of the season thanks to a 2-1 win over Preston North End.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “I spent some of my time on holiday reflecting on last season. I made some notes about how we did things and how we can improve and do it better.
“I am not a manager who looks back to often but I think it is important that we use last season and not look to sweep things under the carpet. We will analyse the negatives and use them as a positives moving forward.
“I will look to improve things and do things differently. The aim is to make us work smarter as a collective and have everyone buying into what we want to do. We are all striving to have a better season.”
