Steve Davis says no approach for his captain

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that no club has made contact about any of his players. The Alex boss wants to keep his young group together and says that no-one has made an enquiry about his highly-rated captain Matt Tootle.

“There has been no interest in any of our players and that includes Matt. He is the obvious one after the season he had, but we have had nothing, ‘said Steve.

“I hope it stays that way. It’s fine by me. We don’t want to be losing any of our better players.”
