Steve Phillips set to embark on Paris ride
On Wednesday 18th June 2014, John Proudlove from Bentley Engineering will team up with passionate charity fund raiser Steve Phillip and as they embark on a mammoth ride of over 175 miles from Crewe to Greenwich. The club’s former goalkeeper will then ride on to Paris for his chosen charities.
John and Steve are both taking on the cycle challenge for three very worthy causes. John will ride to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, whereas Steve will be riding to raise money for both Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Caudwell Children.
The minimum distance for the ride will be 175 miles. John and Steve have chosen a challenging route that will mean climbing nearly 3000 meters over the course of a single day and see them ride through 8 English counties.
