Former Crewe winger Byron Moore has signed for neighbours Port Vale
The former Crewe Alexandra winger Byron Moore has joined our near neighbours and League One rivals Port Vale after rejecting the offer of a new contract at Gresty Road. The 25-year-old forward made 297 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 33 goals. His most important strike sealed our 2-0 win over Cheltenham Town in the Play Off Final at Wembley in 2012. He also helped the club lift the Football League Trophy a year later.Moore's long association with Crewe Alexandra came to an end this summer when he rejected the club's new contract as he went in search of a fresh challenge. Everyone at Crewe Alexandra wishes our former Academy graduate all the very best in his future career.
Crewe host Port Vale on 13 September.
