Haber Signs Two-Year Deal

Former Stevenage striker signs to bolster attacking options


The Canada International Marcus Haber has joined Crewe Alexandra on a two-year deal following his release from Stevenage in the summer. The 25-year-old has signed to bolster Steve Davis’s attacking options after Mathias Pogba expressed a desire to leave for Serie B side Pescara Calcio.



Haber, who spent time on trial with Barnsley in the pre-season, has a good record against Crewe Alexandra scoring twice against us as a Stevenage player and when out on loan with Notts County.


The Vancouver-born Haber, who has been capped 10 times by his country, has also played for Exeter City (on loan), West Bromwich Albion and St. Johnstone. He has scored 12 league goals in 61 appearances during his career in Britain this includes the two goals he scored for Notts. County on loan last season.



Haber, who stands 6’3” has also represented Canada at various age groups and has also played for his hometown clubs Vancouver Whitecaps and Vancouver Selects before moving to Holland to play for FC Groningen’s youth teams. He joined West Brom in January 2010 for an undisclosed fee.


Marcus will wear the number 25 shirt.
