Alex may have a look at former Everton youngster during pre-season double header

Femi Orenuga for a pre-season trial.Crewe Alexandra has invited the former Southend and Everton winger

The 21-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Swedish club Vasby United in the summer. The Lewisham-born midfielder may been handed an opportunity to play in one of our pre-season friendlies this week, with Crewe facing Norton United on Friday evening and Nantwich Town on Sunday.

Orenuga began his career with Southend United but only made an FA Cup appearance for the club before he joined Everton for a nominal fee in 2009. He spent nearly three years at Goodison Park under David Moyes but never progressed into the first-team and he was released in 2012.

Orenuga also enjoyed a brief period on loan at Notts County where he made two appearances.
