Boss ready to unleash Pogs From the start
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says that he has Mathias Pogba chomping at the bit to start his first league game for almost ten months! Recently Pogba has been introduced as a late substitute against both Rotherham and Leyton Orient after overcoming the knee injury he sustained in pre-season against Manchester United.
Before that injury, the powerful forward missed the tail end of the last campaign after aggravating his thigh against Preston North End on April 1st. It has been a frustrating time for the club’s Guinean International but he is nearing a chance to start a game.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “There has to be a point when we do put Pogs in and let him go for as long as we can.
“I'm sure he'd like the opportunity to influence the games from the start. he is not far off, it is just a case of when.”
