Boss praise for midfielder Brad
Steve Davis has praised the recent form of his rejuvenated wide man Brad Inman. The Australian has hit some consistency at just the right time, helping create both goals against Colchester in a 2-1 win, creating a winning goal for Mesca against Carlisle United on New Years’ Day and then netting first at Rotherham last weekend. It was Inman’s first goal since a wonderful strike against at Preston North End back in early October.
Inman, 22, has been playing catch-up since the summer after his move from Newcastle United became rather complicated as the two teams tried to decide on a suitable fee. He missed the majority of the pre-season and needed some time to find his feet again in South Cheshire.
Davis is pleased that we are beginning to reap the rewards of that investment.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Brad has been terrific for us in the last three or four games. He has created some important goals for us and scored himself last week. He is beginning to get back to his top form and that would be a major boost for us.
“He has been terrific in training as well, creating chances and scoring goals and he has been able to transfer that form into the matches. He is a certainly to be in the team for us at the moment and that is credit to his attitude and application.”
