Dons Are Pleasing On The Eye

21 January 2014

Alex boss full of praise for Karl's footballing Dons

Steve Davis has always been a keen admirer of the MK Dons under their current boss Karl Robinson. One of the youngster managers in the Football League, Robinson has always stuck to his passing philosophy and will be looking for his side to secure a play-off place after narrowly missing out last season.

Ahead of this evening’s meeting with the MK Dons, the Alex boss told the crewealex.net: “The MK Dons under Karl (Robinson) have always tried to play the right way. He wants his team to keep possession and play attractive football.

“They like to play back-to-front and be brave on the ball. That has always been his philosophy and they keep on playing. That is how they are taught to play and it doesn’t matter if they are losing the game or winning the game.

“The MK Dons are always pleasing on the eye and they are a good side. They are always competitive in this league and a force in the top half of the league.

He added: “Saying that they can give you chances and as we know from experience if you overplay you can be vulnerable at times.”

Crewe Alexandra take on the MK Dons this evening in a re-arranged fixture at Gresty Road. Kick off is 7.45pm.
