Defender hopeful of battling through discomfort with his knee
Crewe Alexandra will be assessing central defender Harry Davis before deciding on the starting line-up to face Stevenage tomorrow. Davis has been struggling with a knock on his knee since picking up the injury in the 2-0 win over the MK Dons. Davis was passed fit to face Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, but has felt some discomfort since the match at Prenton Park.
The defender remains a doubt but is hoping to see how he goes in training today.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Harry has some swelling on his knee again and wasn’t 100% at Tranmere but he was desperate to play and wanted to play. He got through the game but has felt it a bit afterward, so he is a bit of a doubt.
“He will train today to see how it goes. He battled through it at Tranmere and we are hopeful he will be able to do that again.”
