Watford forward Ikpeazu signs on loan for the rest of the season
Crewe Alexandra have completed the loan signing of Watford forward Uche Ikpeazu. The 18-year-old forward will be with the Alex until the end-of-the-season and will look to continue a prolific goal-scoring record in youth football.
The Nigerian forward spent time with Reading at youth level. He played for Reading's Under-18 side last season and scored 28 goals in 28 games, making him England's top scorer at academy level. That impressive haul included hat-tricks against Arsenal, Blackburn, QPR, Everton and Chelsea.
In the summer of last year, Ikpeazu opted to join Championship rivals Watford from Reading but has struggled to breakthrough Vicarage Road and will now look to make his mark in the Football League with the Alex.
Ikpeazu will wear the number 30 shirt whilst he is with the Alex and subscribers to Crewe Alex Player will be able to see an exclusive interview with our new signing later this afternoon.
The deal is subject to final conformation.
