Winger set for surgery today

Crewe Alexandra’s talented winger Ryan Colclough is set to undergo surgery today to solve a problematic double hernia. The Staffordshire-born teenager has been troubled with niggling injuries this season and that has restricted his appearances to just 10 with both his goals coming against Tranmere Rovers back in August.

Colclough suffered a hip injury against Accrington Stanley and has complained of an abdominal injury since being forced off on his return for the club’s Development side.

Colclough will undergo the operation today and is expected to be out for between 3-6 weeks.
