Steve pleased with Fulham wide man's contribution
Steve Davis was delighted with yesterday’s match winner Mesca Bangna as his tap him at the far post saw Crewe Alexandra defeat Carlisle United 2-1. The on-loan Fulham youngster was in the right place at the right time to convert a low cross from Bradden Inman to register his first goal at senior level.
The club will have to make a decision over extending his and Tom Hitchcock’s loan agreements soon but the Alex boss has certainly been pleased with their contribution thus far.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Our loan players were important last season. They managed to help turn our season around and the ones we have brought in this season are beginning to do that as well.
“Whether they will be able to continue to do that, we’ll have to see because some of their loans are up. We will have to see what happens from here but I have been pleased with their contribution that’s for sure.
He added: “I was delighted for Mesca to see him get his first goal. He got in there at the far post for a tap in and that is something we encourage our young players to do. He is still young. He is still only 20 and is still learning but he has some good attributes.”
