French defender back from Torquay Trial
Thierry Audel has returned from his trial period at Torquay United and is back in contention for a place on the Crewe Alexandra’s substitutes’ bench for tomorrow’s trip to Prenton Park if Harry Davis (knee) and George Ray (ankle) fail to shake off their injuries. Adam Dugdale is in line to start against the team he spent a successful period on loan with back in August.
Audel spent a few days with Chris Hargreaves’ Gulls this week but the two managers have not yet spoken about whether the Frenchman will move to Plainmoor on a short-term loan deal or not.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We allowed Thierry to go a short trial to Torquay but he has returned and we haven’t heard anything from Chris as yet.”
