Steve Davis says his form will be going to Tranmere looking to win
Steve Davis says it is imperative that his Crewe Alexandra side build on Tuesday night’s hard fought win over the MK Dons. In difficult conditions the Alex emerged 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Chuks Aneke and AJ Leitch-Smith – a result that saw us exit the relegation drop zone.
Now the Alex have three crucial games coming up against teams in-and-around us at towards the bottom of League One and the Alex boss says we have to keep picking up points during this crucial period.
Ahead of our trip to Tranmere this weekend, Steve said: “We have three big, important, games coming up. It was a great three points on Tuesday but now we have to carry on and build on that.
“We have three big games but we are just concentrating on the first one at Tranmere.
“They have been a bit like us this season, a bit inconsistent in the first half of the season and Ronnie (Moore) has been like us and tried to bring in a few loans to freshen things up and get them going again.
He added: “We know it is always a tough game against Tranmere and with the rain we have been having the pitch is bound to be a bit heavier. We are looking forward to it because we are in good form and have been playing well. We go there with confidence, looking to win the game.”
