Defender George Ray back in training following ankle injury
Crewe Alexandra is unlikely to be without a number of players for the visit of Swindon Town tomorrow. The Crewe treatment room has eight first team squad members currently struggling for fitness. Although the likes of George Evans and Abdul Osman are improving from their foot injuries, this weekend’s visit of Mark Cooper’s side has come around too quickly.
Liam Nolan, who started only his second senior game of the season at Stevenage on Tuesday, is set to keep his place alongside Anthony Grant. Nolan has recently being drafted into the Northern Ireland Under-21 side to face Italy in Belfast next week.
Forwards AJ Leitch-Smith and Uche Ikpeazu are also struggling to be fit for the weekend but Oliver Turton has a chance of being involved after recovering from a whack on his knee during our under-21 match with Derby on Monday.
Defender George Ray is back training and could be in contention for a recall to the first team squad.
Crewe will be without Max Clayton (ankle) and Ryan Colclough (hernia) are definitely out.
