Davis encouraged by treatment room news
Steve Davis says that none of his players suffered any injuries during Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Bradford City. The Alex boss has also welcomed back midfielder Ollie Turton from his knee injury and the Altrincham-based youngster came through an Under-21 fixture against Barnsley unscathed.
More encouraging news could see the club’s injury trio George Ray, Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough training again within weeks.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We have a few with some bumps and bruises but there was nothing serious from Saturday.
“Ollie came through the Under-21 game yesterday. We played him at full-back to ease him in and give him some game time.
“Vadaine (Oliver) has a bruised foot and Billy (Waters) got a knock but they should be fine.
“Uche rolled his ankle in the first-half at Bradford so it was good judgement to take him off on Saturday. If we hadn’t then he may have not be available for Brentford on Saturday.
“Harry (Davis) came through okay and his knee has settled down now. That is the best he has felt after a game of late so that is encouraging as well. It seems to be getting easier.”
