Young goalkeeper back after Etheridge set-back
Ben Garratt will start for Crewe Alexandra tomorrow afternoon following an injury to the on-loan Neil Etheridge. The Fulham goalkeeper has aggravated his thigh on his return to the club on Tuesday night.
Garratt, 19, was unfortunate to lose his place for the mid-week trip to Stevenage after showing some great form as he made that step up from Youth and reserve football.
Steve Davis, the Crewe boss told the club’s official web-site: “Ben will play tomorrow. He is fine and has taken our conversation at the beginning of the week in the right way. He has been very professional about thing and I said to him at the time that he has to be ready to play because things change very quickly in this game.
“It has happened after one game for him and he will handle it. He is ready to go back in and he is in good shape. He has been in good form for us.”
