Fulham goalkeeper signs for 93-days to take him through to April 13th
. thCrewe Alexandra is delighted to announce that Neil Etheridge has re-joined us on loan. The Fulham goalkeeper has signed for the maximum 93 days which will take him through to April 13
The Philippines International, 24, previously made three appearances for Crewe back in November and helped us record a 1-0 win over Crawley Town. Neil suffered a thigh injury when completing the final clearance in that match and he returned to London for treatment.
Crewe boss Steve Davis had been keen to bring the Enfield-born goalkeeper back to Gresty Road but he suffered a recurrence of the thigh injury and a move was put on hold. In the meantime, Alan Martin departed the club by mutual consent in the January transfer window and Davis was keen to bring in a third goal to offer confidence and cover to Ben Garratt and veteran Steve Phillips.
In the absence of Etheridge, young Ben Garratt has grasped his opportunity with his both hands and was impressed in his first full season at first-team level.
Etheridge will wear the number 38 shirt and could be included in the squad for tonight’s game at Stevenage.
