Youngsters could be back in training in March
Steve Davis has revealed that he club could be boosted with a return to training for long-term absentees Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough next month. Both players are on schedule to return for the final couple of months of the season and are now running again.
Clayton has not featured since breaking his ankle against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup replay back in November. Colclough has had his season interrupted by a succession of niggling injuries and most recently underwent surgery for a double hernia. The winger is expected to be back within weeks.
Steve has told the club’s official web-site: “We have Max, Ryan and George out but they are all making progress. Coco and Max are improving all the time and have started some running.
“They are in good shape and we are hoping they can back training with us in March. A lot will depend on their fitness levels and what they are like mentally and physically. We have to be wary of that and see how they cope because it is never easy to come back after you have been out for a long time.”
